Bulgaria, Elenite 1993

Our first three week holiday, although we spent one full week chilling on the resort before we spent the next two week exploring. I believe we took the three weeks holiday because the third week was free.

Elenite is a purpose built holiday resort not far from one of the main towns, Sunny Beach. We were full board but I was not that keen on the food and used to top up with food from the beach side food stalls, kebabs, burgers, etc.

We had a video by now, so the amount of photos I took dropped off considerably for the next few years, its funny how we are back to photos now.

The beaches on the resort were really good as was the bar, staff and entertainment.

After the first week we explored, we went to Sozopol on the bus (three of them) via Sunny Beach, Nessebar and Bourgas, intending to get the Hydrofoil back to Sunny Beach. Only it wasn't running, so we went to catch a bus back, whilst waiting a minibus stopped and offered us a lift back for around the same price. We took it and it worked.

We also had days out in Sunny Beach and Bourgas, Sunny Beach was a modern beach resort, Bourgas is a really old and very nice place to visit.
