Spain / Tenerife, Puerto de Santiago 1994

Family Holiday again Me, Dot, Mam & Dad, Mick, Bren, Josh and Jen in a large nice hotel apartment complex The Tamaimo Tropical, close to Puerto de Santiago, near Los Gigantes on Tenerife. We flew from Teesside, those were the good old days.

We had a first floor apartment, while the others had apartments on the ground floor but on opposite sides of the pool, in fact we all had rooms in separate blocks.

This was another of those holidays when I used the video a lot more than the camera, so the photos are again very limited.

There was no beach near the hotel, it was all very sharp rocks and cliffs but there were sandy beaches within walking distance.

We had a very good time again and had days out in Puerto de Santiago on the beach and Los Gigantes, which we also visited on the night, where Mick sang on the Karaoke.

Me, Dot, Mick and Bren also hired a taxi for the day and went up Mount Teide, we didn't actually manage to get to the top (big lines of people waiting for the cable car) but did get drunk in the attempt. Renting a taxi for the day wasn't that expensive but we were shocked when the driver went off the road at the first corner. He did improve though and we drank too much to care anyway.

We also had a day out on the sightseeing boat from Los Gigantes to see dolphins etcetera but I do not remember seeing many if any, Mick saw a flying fish though.

One or more nights Me and Mick popped out to watch the World Cup even though we had not qualified, the Republic of Ireland with Jack Charlton as their manager made it a bit interesting and it was football.
