Spain / Mallorca, Puerto de Pollensa 1996

For this one there were just the two of us, the first time since Bulgaria in 1993 and it was really relaxing. We were right on the outskirts of town, in a place like Fawlty Towers and I really liked it.

Puerto de Pollensa is a lovely quiet part of Mallorca, with really good beaches and not at all like the part were most of the tourists go.

We had a couple of trips out on the bus, first we went to Alcudia, not a place I would recommend or go back to. As we were walking about the place we got caught by a timeshare tout and could not get away from them. After wasting lots of time and I mean lots, we got a taxi back to Puerto de Pollensa away from them.

Our trip to Cala San Vicente on the bus, was totally different though and I would highly recommend this place. We had a very good day there and even had a few beers with tapas on the sea front.

We even had a trip out on a small ferry to a very quiet beach.

Puerto de Pollensa on a night was very nice there was even an outdoor cinema one night, we could not understand the words but it was very different.

I would go back there any time.
